Eyes on Main was created to fill the need for eye care in Marshall, specifically for those who cannot or choose not to look outside the community for their healthcare needs. The driving principles behind Eyes on Main are equality and compassion. Financial status should not serve as a barrier to access to high-quality healthcare. At Eyes on Main, our goal is to make every person feel welcome, accepted, and understood when they are in our office.

Dr. Erin Switzer
Owner/Optometrist
Dr. Erin Switzer grew up in Freelandville, Indiana, and currently resides in Marshall with her husband Troy and five cats. She completed her undergraduate education at Vincennes University majoring in Chemistry Education and graduated from Optometry school at the University of Missouri - St. Louis in 2014. She started Eyes on Main in 2023 to fill the need for quality eye care in her community. She enjoys caring for and connecting with patients of all ages.
Dr. Erin enjoys disc golf, video games, playing with her cats, and hiking. She loves traveling and is a bit of a foodie. She is currently studying Spanish to aid in her travels and help her better connect with her Spanish-speaking patients.
Troy Switzer
OWNER/OFFICE MANAGER
Troy Switzer has been a behind-the-scenes part of Eyes on Main since its inception but officially joined the team as the Office Manager in August 2024. He is the husband of Dr. Erin and co-parent to their clowder of five cats. Before joining Eyes on Main, Troy worked at the Vigo County Public Library as a Systems Technician in the IT Department. As a Marshall native, Troy is excited to bring his IT knowledge as well as his warm, friendly personality back to his hometown.
Troy enjoys video games, board games, disc golf, and traveling (especially to hike). He owns IT by Troy and is happy to assist you with your technology needs as well as your vision needs here at Eyes on Main.
Kayla Weaver
Optical Manager
Kayla Weaver is an Optician with nine years of experience dedicated to helping people feel seen and heard with their eye care needs and beyond. She has been married for a decade and blessed with two wonderful children, Jericho and JoyAnna, and also 2 pets, Luna the cat, and Kam the dog.
Beyond the optical world, she and her husband lead a dynamic discipleship ministry in Crawford County, Illinois, where they enjoy witnessing countless lives undergo a positive transformation. They are passionate about community engagement and fostering meaningful connections with those around them.
Kayla loves to read in her spare time, one of her favorite authors being John Comer. She also likes to sing and really enjoys music. Someday when her babies are grown, she would like to like to pick back up her love of writing and write a book. Lastly, she always enjoys a good dad-joke.
Sloane Conley
Clinical Coordinator
Sloane Conley was born and raised in Terre Haute, Indiana. She is an avid golfer and received a full tuition golf scholarship to Saint Mary of the Woods where she earned her bachelor’s degree.
She worked in the Special Collections department at the Vigo County Public Library for 5 years before joining Eyes on Main. She is currently taking a break from working in the office to raise her new son, but may be in from time to time to cover for vacations or illness.
Sloane currently resides in Marshall with her husband Andrew, who is a Marshall police officer, their son, and their pets, a dog named Blue and a cat named Chubby.
Kealy Atherton
Office Coordinator
Kealy Atherton was raised in the country of Annapolis, IL and currently lives in Marshall, IL with her grandparents and beloved dog, Marley. Before joining Eyes on Main, Kealy worked full time as a server at Joe’s Italian Food in Robinson, IL for 10 years. She still works there part time when she’s not assisting patients. She also has 2 years of experience as an eye care technician and is looking forward to her future in the optical world!
During her time at Joe’s, she gained a depth of service and love for people. She truly has a heart for people and a desire to serve her community. Outside of work, Kealy loves quality time with family and friends. She also loves to travel anywhere with a beach and Marley never misses an adventure with her! She loves music and serving weekly at her church. Lastly, she loves a good red lipstick and an iced coffee!
Courtney Midgett
Contact Lens Coordinator
Courtney Midgett is a contact lens specialist who currently lives in Robinson, IL, with five years of experience in the field. She is passionate about helping patients feel confident and comfortable, whether they’re playing sports or looking for an alternative to wearing glasses. The most rewarding aspect of her job is making a difference in people’s lives by helping them overcome insecurities related to their vision.
Outside of work, Courtney is a proud mom to an outgoing five year old boy who is a Fortnite fan. She also has a tuxedo cat, Martin, and a beautiful Great Dane, Bugs. She enjoys spending quality time with her cousins and co-workers, whether it's playing board games or watching horror movies. Fitness and singing are important parts of her life, as she loves staying active and having fun.
She looks forward to connecting with others!
